Kenny Slaught promotes Hospice of Santa Barbara’s services, as they offer support groups to any school, from elementary grade and up to college. Groups go to school to organize weekly meetings with students struggling with trauma and create a safe space to talk about their emotions. The volunteers strive to create a safe space for teens to learn how to manage their feelings. This, in return, will prevent them from using drugs or alcohol. The hospice also provides training to employees who want to learn how to approach topics like violent deaths. The Hospice of Santa Barbara has 65 schools in its network, and all rely on it for fast a response in emergencies.

The new laws allowed Californians who engage in real estate operations to earn interest from loans, without using a bank. Like this, home owners and sponsors can get informed, monitor the performance of their assets, and find new investment options.

Smith quit Harvard to work as a bond trader, and relocated to Santa Barbara to retire later on. But, after seeing the locals admired his house, he decided to keep creating for the city. He used genuine Spanish materials and mixed the old with the new. Today, his works are known for their complexity. Smith is recognized as a founding father to the city, and numerous artists were inspired by him. Kenny Slaught praises the attention to detail required to build such beautiful buildings.

People dealing with loss and grief often have similar reactions to emotional triggers. EMDR allows these negative emotions to be mitigated through the involvement of dual stimulation—eye movements along with tones or taps. Throughout the therapy, clients recall past traumas in a protected environment while focusing on an external stimulus of the tone or tap. Practitioners are able to help clients find insight about the difficult emotions and make more positive associations with current triggers.

The yearly symposium is a place for professors, artists, charities and students to share their thoughts on the Santa Barbara arts education state. This event allows for better programs in the future, according to Kenny Slaught. Other projects include gathering instruments for students who need them, funding for art students and grants to the programs that use Santa Barbara Bowl’s resources. The organization sponsors a program for children at Cottage Hospital and many in-school and after-school initiatives. These programs are mostly created for those living nearby the events at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Furthermore, the Notes for Notes project offers free music classes and instruments to students. All the programs are managed by a large team of volunteers.
