Kenny Slaught Admires Santa Barbara’s Architecture

The Spanish Colonial revival style was started 100 years ago in California by architect George Washington Smith. He quit Harvard to work in business, and relocated to Santa Barbara to relax after achieving success. However, he found out that the locals loved his house, which prompted him to continue designing for his community. The old is mixed with the new in his designs, which are admired to this day for their beauty and complexity. Many artists have been inspired by him and he became a Santa Barbara founding father. Kenny Slaught explains that to create such amazing art, a keen eye to detail is required.
