The annual event enables students, educators, musicians and charity organizations to connect and debate Santa Barbara’s art education state. The project allows for better, more focused future initiatives. Other outreach programs include giving instruments to students in need, financing local projects that use Santa Barbara Bowl’s available resources, and sponsorships for art students. Furthermore, the organization funds a children’s program at Cottage Hospital and many in-school and after-school programs in neighborhoods affected by the Santa Barbara concert season. The Notes for Notes program, notes Kenny Slaught, provides free instruments and classes to students. The projects are ran by a community volunteer committee.
