Many programs concentrate on children and how they cope with a loss. About 20 percent of them lose a close one before turning 18, while one in 20 struggles with the death of a parent before becoming an adult. Through its programs, the Hospice helps people avoid depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
